Catalysator for trucks

A catalyst is part of the exhaust system and is necessary to meet the strict environmental requirements. A catalyst is not a filter but an element consisting of precious metals. As soon as the exhaust gases come into contact with it, a chemical reaction occurs. The molecules of harmful gases (among others: CO, HC and NOx) are decomposed and connected to other molecules so that no harmful gases are released (such as: CO2, H2O and N2).
